That is why the EU HTA Regulation includes patients and carers in both the Joint Clinical Assessment (JCA) and Joint Scientific Consultation (JSC) processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">As a patient or carer, you may:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Share your experience, expectations, or concerns about the condition and current treatments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Help inform the assessors about what matters in the assessment (for example, components of quality of life or treatment burden).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review reports and say whether they make sense from a patient\u2019s point of view.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Join short online meetings together with clinical experts and other relevant experts if initiated by assessors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Your experience helps to ensure these processes focus on\u00a0<strong>real patient needs<\/strong>.
